Marlon Harewood
He is on the Joe Cole podcast this week. its called all to play for and i listen on spotify not sure where else you can get it, but well worth a listen.

Talking about West Ham fans and the semi final and final.

Brought back so many memories of both games. To think we Haven't been to a final in 16 years....

Let's hope we get to one in February, May or June!

I loved having my season ticket in the bml then about 6 rows in and his affair came out. he was stood holding a post at a corner and the bloke infront shouted, Marlon is that painted in Gloss or Matt paint. He just stood there laughing.

Re: Marlon Harewood
The night Marlon scored that hat trick was brilliant.

I was probably about 16 or 17, meant to meet my Dad at the stadium an hour before kick off.
Having somehow managed to be at the Ashes before, he turns up just as the players are walking out, in a very festive mood.
One of the players (I think Sheringham) boots a signed ball into the crowd and it comes down about 2 rows in front of us.
Like a moth to a flame, and somehow forgetting their are a line of plastic seats blocking his path forward, Dad leaps down and is double footed by said seats, his upper body folding over the next row.
Wondering how I’m going to get him to hospital, I try to get myself over to help him up, but like a phoenix, he jumps up whilst I’m trying to scramble down, ball in his grasp shouting ‘come on your irons!’.

My dad is my hero.

That was fucking fantastic Sold, it was like we all knew the traditional minute wasn't enough of a tribute for him and joined in immediately, goose bumps, lump in the throat and a tear in the eye moment for me. All whilst trying to sing his name as loud as I could.......

Re: Marlon Harewood
His last minute goal v the Goons (the one when Wenger and Pardew had a scrap)… one of the loudest noises ever heard in the stadium when he scored that…. Place was literally swaying as if it was having an earthquake

Gary Strods,

I was on a flight to Barbados that day and when we landed the first thing the pilot said was, you can already see its hot out the window and nice and sunny, but more importantly I wish to let you know that during our flight England have won the ashes and a big cheer went up on the plane, then a few hours later I listened to us beat villa 4 0 gutted I wasn't there to see it

I remember sitting in the Queens wstching England finally winning an ashes series before walking down the road to watch Marlon score a hatrick against Villa.
Quite a day.

Marlon has also done a under the cosh podcast which is good. The under the cosh pods are worth a listen, plenty of ex hammers on there with some good tales

Yeah I remember the talk in the boozer before hand was we will do OUR own send off for JL… but fair play the bloke who started it (think Council Scum said it was one of his mates)… proper goosebumps that and afterwards you knew we was never going to lose… brilliant day

Re: Marlon Harewood
NS they talk on the podcast about how after the game finished he broke down in tears and it dawned on him what it meant to him to get the goal to take us to the final and also the fans.

The man who started Johnny Lyall's claret and blue army was probably a bit of a hero that day. Got everyone bang up for the day, not that we wasn't already.

Btw Cockapoo are the way forward mate

Fucking loved ol’ Marlon Martin… gave me some great days… the interview after the semi was superb… him and Carlton Cole not exactly University Challenge material…

“So Marlon… you never showed up in the first half”
“Eh… I been here all day mate…. “

I think I lost a filling when that goal went in…
